Niche Boys (after Karen’s Boys)

Niche readers know that when it comes to boys, we’ve got aaaaall the prime cuts of beef. Are they ugly? Yeah baby. Are they hot? Indubitably. Do they have what my dad calls “a lot of face”? Face abounds. So when Niche editor Seph came to me with the idea to pilfer Karen Han (@karenyhan on Twitter)’s Boys music video and remake it for our own niche-farious purposes, I could do nothing but spend 7 hours of my life that I should have spent sleeping or writing my final paper for Drama Theory crafting this.

Special thanks to Seph for his input and guidance, and Karen Han for hopefully being okay with us stealing paying homage to her idea.

Are there any that we missed? Any we shouldn’t have included? Which boy made you physically recoil from your laptop like you were a stupid olde timey person watching the Lumiere brothers’ train come into the station, only because it was so so sexy and hot? Sound off in the comments! Peace and love.

you didn’t disappoint. i very much respect the inclusion of remy and stuart little – some may say controversial, but undoubtably wise. the double appearance of miss garfield had me scrambling for my prescription inhaler.

Scotty J, Belize, Judas, Phoenix Buchanan, Reynolds Woodcock and chubby bisexual Colin Farrell from The Lobster are truly my favorite boys. I feel seen by this website.

How dare you include the Maurice (1987) hair stroking scene but also. You had to. Also the fact Neil and Todd were not in this is understandable as i think i would have literally had an aneurism

as far as i can tell, thats 72 separate movies/plays/works referenced? but it was hard to keep track, & i just know that i recognized 32 of them, & i counted maybe 40 others, but thats fine bc that means the niche is doing its job. if i recognize 3 out of 7 of anything on here im happy

!!! Amazing !! I lost it at that adorb sufjan face right at the floatiest riff in the song being followed by OBLENOME AHH. Chris fleming being floaty & via the lyrics ambiguously positioned as maybe the protagonist of the song, maybe a floaty boy, maybe one of the girls who’s calling–great gender food! Love ALL the trans rep in here! Mulan! Yentle! Those other boys i didnt recognize but wanna know who they are! Would you consider doing a list of the sources? Anyway THANKS FOR THIS

Bless you for including Basquiat! ❤
and Rebel w/o a Cause and Judas and Harold and Colin Firth and Steve & Stephen. Philip Seymour Hoffman was amazing in Boogie Nights
Also who's the hottie at 1:54?
(Jeremy Irons must have been in a lot of gay things bc I've only seen him in Brideshead Revisited & that's not even in this, eep!)
